Socioenvironmental health and life quality of life measures |
When performing an assessment on the geriatric population the overall wellbeing including physical, mental, and emotional status must be taken with serious considerations.
Quality of life and health in this patient population is based on the abilities to function independently, being disease-free, having a positive perspective of aging as part of life with a support system and safe environment. (Seah.,2019)
|
Self-Rated Health (SRH) as assessed by a single-item measure is an independent predictor of health outcomes.
This tool has been used for quite a few years and is known for its high efficacy and low cost. (Assari.,2016)
A poor SRH has the ability to predict the medical condition, healthcare use, and other aspects of morbidity such as quality of life, physical functioning, and mortality risk predictor. (Assari.,2016)
