Title: Early Sunday morning
Year: 1930
Artist: Edward Hopper
The painting included above was done by Edward Hopper in 1930. Originally, the artist wanted to call it Seventh Avenue but instead called it Early Sunday Morning. It captures a building along Seventh Avenue in the city of New York. As the artist had a studio in the city, he had an intimate knowledge of the city; an aspect that is very evident in his paintings. It captures a lone standing building with two floors. The vibrant colored building has two storeys, with businesses on the first and what appear to be residential rooms on the second storey (Martin & Jacobus, 2018).
